A few more images

Yes I know…blog after blog today but just catching up on the backlog.

Here’s a few more recent images I wanted to share.

The first one is from Stanton Moor. I had been up previously (and will go up a lot more as this is now my local stomping ground after moving to Matlock) and spotted this tree which is growing leaning to one side which looks peculiar. I have to admit, I had imagined strong side lighting, with the purple heather being lit up and tree casting shadows but it wasn’t to be, however the colour in the sky more than made up for it!

This one may not to be everyones taste, but I was drawn by the strong lighting on the golden grass set against the backdrop of the huge stormy skies, so while on my way up Birchen Edge I made the most of it and shot this:

The final image was from the sunset on Birchen Edge, this is of the Three Ships with some lovely pastel colours and a tiny rainbow to boot:
