After what seemed like a painful few months over summer with photography opportunities few and far and between with a lot of either clear skies or just cloud it is nice to finally be getting to Autumn with a change in weather, colours and hopefully being able to be a bit more productive. Of course, what happens in Autumn is not only that the sunrises get a little more sociable but quite often mist will form overnight in valleys and so far I’ve really not been disappointed.

This first one is at Cavedale near Castleton. I was super pleased to have captured it, I had envisioned an image like this with the mist just creeping up the Dale but I wasn’t sure I’d get any nice first light on Peveril Castle but it all fell into place and I got exactly what I wanted.
