Description
Join me on November 7th to explore autumnal landscapes in the fantastic Eryri National Park (formerly Snowdonia). I have a great little route starting at Betws-Y-Coed heading to Llanberis to take in some of the fantastic locations along the way.To start the day we will photograph at Fairy Glen providing it is dry. This fantastic little glen offers some great opportunities to photograph the River Conwy flowing through this deep gorge. It is imperitive it has been a dry day as the location can be very slippy when wet.Next, we will head over to Tu Hwnt I’r Bont Tearooms at Llanrwst to photograph the classic scene of the tearooms against the old arched bridge. There should still be some autumn colour on the trees here to finish off the scene.Next we head to Swallow Falls over in the next valley. This is a quick stop but no less impressive. The view of the falls from the viewpoint allows us super easy and quick access but these impressive falls cascade and spread out across multiple rocks. To top it off it’ll be covered in autumn leaves.Once leaving here we will drive down towards Llanberis. Just outside of the town we will stop at Llyn Peris to photograph the birch trees on the slate steps of Dinowic above the reservoir. Finally we will either go and explore Dinorwic if we are doing well for time or head to the lone tree on Llyn Padarn in Llanberis for sunset. If we go to Dinorwic, we will explore around Anglesey Barracks to first off capture the classic scene of the barracks lined up. If we stay here for sunset, there are fantastic opportunities just minutes away. We could spend all day exploring here!I have rated this workshop easy/medium. Most locations are within minutes of the car but as we will be around waterfalls you should be sure of your footing as it can often be slippy at this time of the year. There are multiple pay to enter locations on this workshop and entry fees are included in the workshop. We will meet at 09:00 for a meet and greet with everyone before heading out to our first location. We will break approx. 1pm for lunch at a café and if there’s time there will be a quick introduction to post-processing in Lightroom to give you an idea of my workflow. We will be out until sunset around 17:00. If you are travelling via Wrexham, you are more than welcome to travel with me from my house which is just outside of the city.Throughout the day we will look at techniques such as focusing, using a tripod, use of filters vs exposure blending, composition, working with the light and more. This is largely photographic walk and as such, we will build techniques throughout the day and the aim is to put what we have learnt into practice for the sunset at the Trinnacle.Upon booking, you will be sent an order confirmation email which includes meeting details, kit-list, discount codes and a questionnaire for you to fill out. This questionnaire just allows me to get information about you so I can plan the day appropriately for the whole group.I am more than happy to discuss other more advanced techniques on 1-2-1 basis as well as to the group, depending on what is beneficial. The day is tailored around you as much as possible and I strive to give each of you on the course for that day the best day possible. At the end of the day, you will have hopefully learnt new techniques and taken away some imagery you will be proud of. I am a friendly and relaxed tutor and I welcome you to keep in touch with me after the course to ask me any questions you may have looked over on the day. I have also created a Facebook client area where you can keep in touch, share your photos and keep in touch with other attendees from the day. There will be a maximum group size of 4 meaning there will be plenty of 1-2-1 time. I will be on hand throughout the day for any questions and my focus will be on ensuring you have the best day possible. There is a £40 deposit required to secure your place on this workshop, with the balance due no later than 6 weeks before the workshop.Additional information
